iLoveMyBBQ.com – Back for 2012 – new BBQ recipes and BBQ Fun
After what seems like an age, we are back.
Last year was a bit of write off for us, we had in the early summer and that dramatically reduced our volume of BBQ’s. The downside is obviously the reduction in the amount of grill-sessions that we got on, the upside is that the Twins, Oz and Sefi, are really awesome.
Anyway, this year, we are back on it. Been a bit of a shuffle around in the BBQ arena as well. Regular readers of this blog will know of the blood, sweat and tears that went into creating the BBQ area we have used for the last five years, well, with the increase in children came a safety assessment from senior management (Jilly and I) and we have had to abandon that are and move to a new part of the garden.
We now base our BBQ’s on the top decking that we built two years after moving in… yes, the BBQ sits on a stone platform to prevent any rogue coals issues.
The other great news is that our neighbours small-holding has really taken off in the last year or so and this means we have had a steady flow of fresh meat, mainly pork, getting slammed on the grill… On the look out for great pork BBQ recipes if anyone has any.
Finally, big thanks, as ever, to everyone who has contributed and helped with this blog over the last few years and sorry for the slowdown in posts, hoping this turns around in 2012!
