Tucked away in the heart of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds is a family who are obsessed with BBQ’ing… us. No meat or vegetable is safe from the grill and we are always on the look-out for new, different and exciting BBQ recipes to try.
So far we have had 10 seasons of wonderful Barbecues and it seems like they start earlier and earlier each year. It has become tradition for us to celebrate Cairo’s birthday in April with the first BBQ of the year. Even if I say so myself, we have become quite the masters of the winter Barbecue including a good effort, weather permitting, on New Year’s Eve where we try to be a bit more daring on the BBQ recipe front.
About 5 years ago I started a BBQ blog on one of the free blog websites, mainly so we could share all the pictures from the various BBQ’s for posterity as most of the time we were all too drunk to remember what had happened. Not very sensible I know.
We decided to set up this site after more and more of our friends kept telling us we should share some of our BBQ tips, tricks and various barbecue recipes. I have to admit that the deciding factor on setting up this BBQ site was because some of the content on the old site was not that appropriate for a family audience. Effing and Jeffing everywhere… again, not very sensible and I apologise.
As one of the UK’s leading BBQ recipe and general Barbecue information websites we have produced our own range of “ILoveMyBBQ” herb and spice based rubs along with a number of flavoured wood smoking chips.
The BBQ smoking wood chips come in a number of flavours including red wine, beer and whisky, and this is only the start as we have a number of exciting new flavours being tested. You can read more about them by clicking here. The Barbecue wood smoking chips create a really nice aroma when you sprinkle them over your coals and also give the food an added flavour boost.
The BBQ herb and spice rubs come in a variety of flavours and you can read about them by clicking here. Our rub recipes are easy to use; you just, erm… rub them on the meat or vegetables. Simple or what, no extra recipe messing about needed and you can wow your BBQ guests with the flavours and smells.
You can buy these items direct from this site as well as being stocked in a number of leading independent local BBQ supply shops, at a very reasonable price.
So, what else would you like to know? I suppose it would be helpful if I told you who people like Cairo are given they often feature in the blog. I am Andy, head BBQ Griller. Cairo is my long suffering partner; Jill. Duggle, is Hugo our stubborn Basset Hound. Granny BS is Linda, The Clims are Claire, Tim and Molly.
That’s it… if you have any new BBQ ideas or Barbecue recipes then get in touch
