One of the best things about this blog is the fact that we occasionally get sent new BBQ items to test and trial. Opies, a family run business for over 130 years has just launched a new range of naturally smoked BBQ sauces that they have kindly sent us to sample. We were sent the Garlic, Hickory and Garlic BBQ sauces and had chance to test the Hickory one this weekend.
How to get started in BBQing. People often think that BBQing is expensive and it can put people off. We find some BBQ bargains so that you can get going with your first ever BBQ for around £25.00
A step by step guide to cooking a simple and easy BBQ recipe here in the UK. Oriental BBQ Skewers originated from Australia (despite the name). Maybe the source of the "Throw another shrimp on the bbq" line. A great recipe.
iLoveMyBBQ had chance to go and look around the BBQ and outdoor living section at Harrods. It was a truly amazing experience with every kind of BBQ tool or product that you could ever imagine. A great opportunity, including a film.
A quirky and really easy BBQ recipe called Apple Cheese Burger. Amazingly simple to make in no time at all and what is more, it tastes brilliant. We also give a step by step guide to creating amazing beef burgers.
A short competition via a prize draw to win a Paul Newman Own Sticky Barbecue Marinade. We thought it would be a nice way to start the latest BBQ season. The competition is run over on twitter.

Lets kick the 2011 BBQ Season off with some back to basics information on how to make sure you have a successful BBQ by having the right equipment. Before I start, I want to make it clear, BBQ’ing does and should not be expensive. Essentially, all you need is fire and meat. That being said, [...]

Us BBQ Grillers, we are under a heap of pressure! Getting the food ready, getting it cooked, knowing when it is cooked and making sure everyone gets fed without a trace of food-poisoning. I thought I would answer the age old BBQ Question of "When do I know when my BBQ Meat is cooked"

Going through the old iLoveMyBBQ.com pics for the site the other day I came across my favourite BBQ pic of all time. Not entirely sure why I love this one so much, think it is the sunset and also the pink spotty apron! It was taken during a BBQ at the Clims!

A short blog post that explains how to use a BBQ Wood Chips Smoking Box. We will be trying this next week on our BBQ courtesy of some lovely people who have sent us a free kit. Will probably try smoking some asparagus too.

To make a BBQ go with a real swing you need a bit of music. Historically I have always took my laptop down to the garden and just let it blast out, but since I have got a new one I have been less inclined to do this in fear of damaging it. Instead I [...]

Been developing a new batch of ILoveMyBBQ Smoking Woodchips and this time we are trying Beer. The difficulty with using most beers is that they don’t penetrate as deeply into the wood chips as the likes of wine and whisky does. This means you have to try and find a strong beer. That is, strong [...]

Possibly my favourite BBQ Recipe is our lovely ILoveMyBBQ Cheeky Cajun Rub dusted over a nice Chicken Fillet. I usually leave the rub coated chicken breasts in the fridge to marinade overnight and then bang it straight onto the grill (after giving it 10 minutes out of the fridge so it does not remain really [...]

10 years of BBQ cooking means that you build up a list of favourite things, from barbecue recipes and food through to the tools and utensils you use. I would class myself as being from the “old-school” of barbecue grilling in that you give me some hot coals, a pair of cooking tongs and a [...]

We were fortunate enough to get chance to visit and look around Harrods outdoor and BBQ section in Knightsbridge this week. WOW!
As you would expect from such a high profile and high quality store the prices are on the OMFG side but, the quality, well, it is something else.
The staff were really clued up about their full range of BBQ products from Ranges and Charcoal grills through to Firepits and accessories.
In addition to the fantastic service and products, the Harrods outdoor living section had a range of seats, benches and parasols that we also truly awesome. My favourite was a wicker based garden set complete with an “igloo” swing that had a mattress base and cushions. A snip at just £32k!
I grabbed this quick film of the BBQ section before going off to look at the food-courts that were, once again, truly out of this world.
